VIRTUAL THERAPY

*COV-ID 19 UPDATE
All services are via telehealth at this time. Most insurances are reimbursing for therapy conducted via telehealth during this pandemic. Please see more info on my COVID-19 Updates & Resources
page.

Dr. Savoy is now accepting video therapy (telepsychology, telemental health, e-therapy) clients. She utilizes a secure, HIPAA-compliant video communication platform. To participate in video therapy as a client, you must be a North Carolina or South Carolina resident and have access to an Internet connection, a webcam, and a Mac or PC.

Unfortunately, not all insurance plans yet cover virtual therapy at this time. You may check with your insurance to verify if tele-mental health services are covered. Please email or call Dr. Savoy if you are interested.

LGBTQ THERAPY

Dr. Savoy specializes in gender identity and sexual identity issues. She provides an affirming approach to individuals exploring aspects of identity and in navigating the gender transition journey. She is a WPATH Certified Provider and a founding member of the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare Group.

Sometimes counseling is directly related to LGBTQ identity issues, such as coming out, self-acceptance, dating and relationships, family relationships, and coping with discrimination. Other times counseling is about concerns unrelated to gender or sexual identity, and working with a LGBTQ-affirming therapist who is knowledgeable and sensitive to the unique stressors faced by members of the LGBTQ community is helpful.
